What should be and what should not be in your child's bottle!
There are only two kinds of liquids that should go into your child's bottle; water and milk. Avoid putting chocolate milk, soda, juice, flavored waters and even all natural fruit juices in the bottle as they have high concentrations of sugar and acid. Any kind of sugar in a child's diet can cause cavities.
Once your child's first tooth erupts you should no longer put your child to bed with a bottle. If your child needs a bottle to fall asleep than use only unflavored water and no other liquids. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends weaning your child off the bottle by age one. By taking these steps to keep your child health will make them healthier and happier.
